Day 1: Frankfurt

Arrival in Frankfurt and transfer to your hotel. At first glance, Frankfurt impresses visitors with its modern skyscrapers, but a close-up look reveals a charming and pleasant city.

OVERNIGHT: Frankfurt

Day 2: Frankfurt – Rüdesheim/Cruise/St. Goar – Cologne

Frankfurt002In the morning transfer to Rüdesheim. Short tour of the historic city center. Next you board a boat for a cruise along the most picturesque stretch ofthe Rhine, the Lorelei valley. After disembarking in St. Goar you continue to Cologne.

Day 3: Cologne – Hamburg

After breakfast we depart for Hamburg. In the morning you enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. Hamburg is internationally renowned for its elegant historic boulevards, the second largest port in Europe and famous St. Pauli neighborhood.

Day 4: Hamburg – Berlin

The morning is free to explore at your leisure. In the afternoon you travel to Berlin.

Day 5: Berlin

Berlin002In the morning you will have the opportunity to visit many well known historic locations, like Under den Linden Avenue, remnants of the Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate. There will also be time to explore the modern parts of the city, such as the German Parliament and Potsdam Square. The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure.

Day 6: Berlin, Potsdam and Frankfurt

After breakfast you travel to Potsdam and visit the Sanssouci palace and park. In the afternoon you travel by high-speed train from Berlin to Frankfurt.

Day 7: Frankfurt y Heidelberg and Freiburg

In the morning you travel to Heidelberg to visit its historic center and famous castle. Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one ofthe most popular destinations in the country, idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River. Our next destination is Freiburg.

Day 8: Freiburg – Lake Titi – Lindau – Füssen

Fussen001After breakfast you enjoy a tour of Freiburg, famous for its beautiful church tower. Next you travel to Lake Titi, nestled in the legendary Black Forest. Then you continue to the small island of Lindau, in Lake Constance, which boasts spectacular views of the Alps. After a brief stop your next destinationis Füssen. This small mountain village is the most southern point onour tour of Romantic Germany.

Day 9: Neuschwanstein – Wieskirche – Oberammergau – Ettal Abbey – Garmisch Partenkirchen

Schweintchteigen001We begin the day with a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious “mad king“. In the afternoon we travel to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. Along the way we visit the Wieskirche church before continuing the tour to the Ettal Benedictine Abbey. Today‘s final destination is Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany’s winter sports capital and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. This mountainous region also features Germany’s highest peak, Zugspitze (2.962 m/9715ft).

Day 10: Garmisch Partenkirchen – Linderhof – Munich

Linderhof002The morning is free to explore at your leisure. An optional excursion is to ascend to the top of Zugspitze (not included in the tour). In the afternoon you travel to Munich and visit Linderhof castle. This is one of 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one where the “mad king“ actually lived for a significant amount of time.

Day 11: Munich

Munich002After breakfast you visit the gardens of the Nymphenburg summer palace. Next we explore the city and its main monuments, including Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower, the Frauenkirche church and the elegant Maximilianstrasse boulevard. Munich is the capital of Bavaria Stateand famous for its Oktoberfest, which is actually celebrated in September.

The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. Save your appetite for this evening‘s traditional Bavarian dinner with folk music.

Day 12: Munich – Rothenburg ob der Tauber – Frankfurt

After breakfast we travel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Romantic Germany. Sightseeing tour of this lovely medieval town.

Then we continue to Frankfurt airport. Flight to Vilnius. Arrival to the hotel. Check-in. Free time.

OVERNIGHT: Vilnius

Day 13: Vilnius – Trakai

Vilnius is famous for being the most baroque city in the Nordic Europe, for all these little narrow streets and for beautiful panorama with the numerous belfries.

Vilnius002During the tour you will visit: Cathedral Square and the Cathedral, Castle Street, Town Hall square, Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, St. Ann and Bernadine’s Church known as the Gothic corner of Vilnius, the Gate of Dawn with the holy image of the Virgin Mary, the Jewish ghetto, Vilnius University, Presidential Palace and the Sts. Peter and Paul’s Church, referred as the pearl of Lithuania for the dazzling white and gorgeous decorations made by Italian craftsmen.

Free time for lunch.

After lunch 3 hour guided tour to Trakai located 28 km from Vilnius, where you will discover a beautiful red brick castle built on an island in the middle of the lake.

Day 14: Vilnius – Hill of Crosses – Rundale – Riga

KryziuKalnas001The Hill of Crosses is famous for thousands of big and little crosses built on an old mound making the place unique in the world.

Free time for lunch.

Departure to Rundale Palace known as the only surviving baroque style palace in the Baltic countries. During a guided visit you will discover the beauty and exceptionalness of a master work of the author of the winterplace of St. Petersburg - F. B. Rastrelli.

OVERNIGHT: Riga

Day 15: Riga

Riga is a city of big inspiration. While walking the streets of old town youwill be able to feel that every corner of it is built by seeking perfectionism.

Riga001During the tour you will visit: Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s church, guild houses that once belonged to the merchants of Hanseatic League, the Sweden gate, the ensemble of three buildings erected in the Middle Ages and often called the three brothers, St. Jacob’s church, Parliament House, the old Riga Castle, the Tower of Sand, Livu square, Latvian National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Art Nouveau district, the beautiful Statue of Liberty and the surrounding park with its water channels.

OVERNIGHT: Riga

Day 16: Riga – Sigulda/Turaida – Parnu – Tallinn

Sigulda002Departure to Sigulda and Turaida, where you will visit the historical part ofthe Gauja National park. During the guided tour you will be acquainted with Turaida castle, Hill of Dainu, Gutmana cave, Sigulda modern castle and Sigulda old caste ruins.

Free time for lunch.

Departure to Parnu, major Estonian sea resort. One hour stop, which includes brief introduction to town’s history and a walk on main Parnu pedestrian street.

OVERNIGHT: Tallinn

Day 17: Tallinn

Tallinn is well known for its lovely Hanseatic old town and beautiful panorama views. Tallinn is remembered by its visitors as a very vivid city where old and modern combines in harmony; and buildings built from the local material – limestone.

Tallinn005During the tour you will visit: the upper part of old town called Toompea: Alexander Nevsky Orthodox church built in 1900, the oldest country’s church Toomkirik built in 1233, the Estonian parliament and the upper part of the old town surrounding fortress walls and towers, two different view points for panorama views; lower part of old town: Town Hall, Merchant Guild Houses and a market of local handicrafts.

Day 18: Tallinn (departure for home country)

Free time or additional sightseeing upon request.

Transfer to Tallinn airport.
