Vilnius - the capital of Lithuania, surrounded by hills, lying in Sventaragis valley between two rivers – Neris and Vilnele. In 1994 the old town of the city was included in UNESCO’s heritage list. Various architectural styles, triangular squares, flower gardens and different historical periods is what you can see all over the place. You will be surprised by the verdancy and the beautiful Vilnius panorama with churches and their towers. During the sightseeing tour you will visit Cathedral Square, Castle Street, Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, St. Ann and Bernadine’s Church known as the Gothic corner of Vilnius, the Gate of Dawn with the holy image of the Virgin Mary, formerly an important part of the population of Vilnius which belonged to Jewish minority - the Jewish Quarter. En route we will visit the old Vilnius University ensemble that is considered one of the oldest educational centres not only in Lithuania but also in all Baltic countries. And we won’t miss Sts. Peter and Paul’s Church, referred as the pearl of Lithuania for the dazzling white and gorgeous decorations made by Italian craftsmen.
