The Open Air Museum of Lithuania - located 80 km from Vilnius and 20 km to Kaunas. The museum is dedicated to XVII-XX century household of Lithuania. You will visit five different parts of museum that represent Lithuanian ethnographical regions. Each part of museum displays traditions and way of life common to Lithuanians who lived there. Also you will find authentic small villages that once were brought here from all over Lithuania to show the visitor the past of the country. In the central part of museum you will find a small town built in style of the beginning of 20th century. By travelling we will stop at the villages to walk and discover closer the surroundings and the buildings. We will have the opportunity to watch and touch the old tools, furniture, decorations, clothes and maintained gardens. This can be a very interesting educational trip or just a very good way to satisfy ones curiosity on Lithuanian traditions and culture.
