Aukstaitijos National Park – forests, lakes, fields, rivers, historic sites, mounds and interesting museums are waiting for you in the north-eastern part of Lithuania. The park occupies 40,570 ha and is a perfect place for wild life and nature lovers. We would visit a hill of Ladakalnis that was named in the honour of Lithuanian goddess. A stunning view of lakes, forests and fields opens from the top of the hill. We would stop by the Ginuciai old wooden water mill. We would visit the Bee Museum, which discloses the history of collecting honey, tools and traditions in Lithuania. Paluse is another place of interest. This little town is known for a very old wooden church built on a hill with beautiful views to lake.
